7 Ways To Uplift Your Mood

7 Ways To Uplift Your Mood

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” ~Albert Einstein

We all have bad days. Have you ever had the kind of day that makes you think, “What is it all about?” We might start questioning our jobs and even our lives. Pretty soon we find ourselves spiraling into sadness. It is important not to get stuck in a whirlpool of negativity. Always keep moving forward because tomorrow will be a better day.

Here are 7 ways to uplift your mood:

1. Acknowledge your feelings

Start by asking yourself on a scale of one to ten how bad do you feel? Accept where you are emotionally. Don’t resist how you are feeling. Denying your feelings only keeps you in the current mental state. It might even make it worse. Think of denial as a dam that disrupts the flow of a river. In order to process how you feel you must remove the mental dam before you can move forward.

2. Don’t catastrophize

When we feel like we have done something wrong we may begin to imagine the worst possible outcome.  For example, perceived rudeness by your employer can easily be catastophized into thinking you are about to be fired. Take a moment to reframe your thinking. Acknowledge that perhaps your boss is having a bad day and his or her actions are not personally directed at you. Stay in the moment and don’t let your happiness be sabotaged by a need to predict the future.

3. Stop ruminating

It is important to avoid replaying negative images or scripts in your mind. It is pointless to keep telling yourself you should have acted differently or you shouldn’t have said this or that. You can not travel back in time to change the past so why dwell on what cannot be changed? Accept the day as it occurred and remember that you did your best. And, no matter what anyone says, your best is ALWAYS good enough. Again, stay in the moment. Life is full of lessons. Don’t beat yourself up over perceived missteps. Learn from your mistakes and move on.

4. Reach out to others

Don’t isolate yourself after a bad day. When we are having a tough time, we might want to close off and avoid people. It is important to know the difference between healthy alone time and complete isolation. Talk to someone that cares about you. It helps to get someone else’s point of view. By sharing with others what you are going through you can be reminded that you are not alone.

5. Make a list of what makes you happy

Take a moment and write down 5 things that make you happy. As you make the list, visualize the happiness you feel when you experience the things you are listing. You will be surprised how much better you feel when you get to the bottom of the list. If you decide to do this please feel free to share your list in the comments section below!

6. Treat yourself

After a hard day it is important to be kind to yourself. Treat yourself to something nice. This does not mean to go buy yourself some new material possession. Self-kindness can take many forms. It can be a long hot bath or a long walk. Do something nice for yourself!

7. Let’s hear from you

What would you like to add to this list? It is always nice to hear thoughts and reflections from my dear readers!

ONE FINED WEEKEND DAY

ONE FINED WEEKEND DAY

We didn't gone up this far we just stay below :)

A Bright spot of Your day.  Have you ever had a bright Spot on your day as you go or move along in you daily life?

Have you ever had a bright Spot on your day as you go or move along in your daily life activities?
Hmmm... I guess so ... You aren't just aware of them because your mind was so pre - occupied by the hectic of the schedule that you have arrange for your whole week activities. This is just a reality of A little sad life situation, isn't it.

It feels strange sometimes, but it's only when you can make it more lighter and easier by putting in your time plan some recreational activities like walking in the open country backyard or taking some swimming on the beach or joining yourself in the company of hikers; by then your life will never be the same again. That is if you love nature. When was the first time you breath in the open air. Well it really feels so awesome wonderful out there especially when you location is around the city with cars everywhere and tall or giant buildings everywhere you face or see. Why not try add a little more Adventures on that hectic schedule of you. Mind you It will be awesome. Your adventure will no stop there for sure, there are things you will discover, the beauty of the surroundings will put you on the wonder land specially when you love fairy tail stories, hahah ! hmmm!

Sometimes it's easy to miss those little things that surrounds us. The other day when I was out walking around the country park with the my little coco poodle doggie looking for some beautiful spot to snap w/ this camera phone at hand. Things to shoot or whatever and her (doggie) doing her own business. I was pretty much done and so with Amber my doggie. As we were walking back to the main path and then back to the road that leads us home.
With a look here look there attitude, just to make sure there was no company creeping around as the area was registered as dangerous especially when hot and humid as the slithering creatures are coming out of the clearing, that is when luck strike on your situation. Luckily, Nothing so far only a sweet exchanging voices of different kinds of birds that are hopping here and there of this giant trees.

And so then few moments later as we advance our way down near the beach side, between those branches and massive leaves, I saw these few trees right on the river bank and there it was... this little opening where I could see the light shimmering on the water. I stopped and studied it for a moment and suddenly I saw this spot, where the blue little Yacht painted on the halo surrounded by dancing green leaves blown by the wind, and the light was so beautifully behind it.

The picture was so beautiful that i can't resist to take a photo to have something to share on media.

I was just sad when my phone is signalling low battery, it just make me grrrr. i had to hurry out of the country  side as I not sure if it was really safe. Because couple of stories that there was this king of the jungle who eat cow or dog or cat. Do you wanna know who this was... A Python, Yes you've read it! ...

To cut the story short...  a guy with his two kids and a dog went for hike somewhere up the country side when this hungry came out because it spotted this dog the guy tried to rescue his dog with hes little camping knife but to no avail, he then send his kids away as fast as they can as he calls for help. Leaving the poor dog behind wrap by the big snake. When he came back with some guys they only saw a tract, devastated they then went away and reported it to the police. News spread so quickly to everyone walking by, hikers and even campers just to warn everyone. So far, everyone is just careful when walking in the this country forested side taking a walking stick metal or iron one just  as we never know when will the bad guy come out for food again, if there is no catch of its kind inside the bush... mind you we have wild boar, porcupines, monkey, and such are around wild in the area. as this place was still protected by Department of Natural resources...

Whehhh! that's not long story short ... Smile ^_*!

Have a nice rainy afternoon everyone.

The Road To LIFE JOURNEY

The Road To LIFE JOURNEY

Every Weekdays or even 24/7 we live like that of a rat in a cage inside the Laboratory.. Which they always called it a "rat race experiment". We may never know but we live life like that rat trying to escape from the cage. You may say, Oh~~~ not me... But let me just check it with you how this rat race similar to our life.  Everyday you race to work, to do shopping, to cook dinner, do some dish/clothes washing or a bit of cleaning and then quickly to bed because you have to repeat it all again the next day.
If you work at home, the border lines might be a bit more blurry, but still it will be similar enough. Then the weekend comes, you want to relax, go out… and then while on way home your thoughts are captivated by the feeling that you should catch up on some more chores you neglected during the weekend.
And At the end of the day, Here comes Monday. Monday will come eventually and you have to have clean clothes and ironed shirts. Then suddenly, it is Sunday evening and you feel like you didn’t do much and another weekend is gone.

Even worse, if you live with your partner, because it can feel as you are spending time together. But living this way, week after week can wear you out. Weeks are flying by, each of them the same like the other and you are basically after surviving rather than living your so called happy life.
Well, I found myself in this situation as well. It's just dry lifestyle. But the next worst scenario is when bills are coming in and only to realize that all you have earned for the whole month just drain in all the bills and stuff you needed in your daily life. Wheewww! what is the way out...

First I tackled some of my productivity. Maybe working at home makes all my days very similar and that includes weekend. For couple of weeks, I tried to distinguish between the weekdays and weekends with varying level of success.
And then it stroked me. "I always went to bed looking forward to new adventures the following day. I couldn’t nearly fall asleep by my excitement. In the morning, I used to get up full of energy, ready to wake everyone up and make the adventures happen." Haaahhh! Just a vision that one day I'll escaped the rat race lifestyle. So with a little bit of twist I'd hope I'll write the success out come as I can see it now happening.

In the evening, I always knew what I will do the next day with success. And it was always something exciting. It just inspired me to think about the surviving more strategy on this road to life journey. If we all remember what was our life like, when we were kids, maybe we would be much happier and successful as adults.
Since, But then to some it won't worked at all. Because we are too hooked up on the way of life we wanted to or the career we choose to live with. As I get up earlier and ready to enjoy the day with thanksgiving in my heart. Getting up earlier means more time for each activity and more activities during the day. But I thank God for all the graces because even though the road to life that I've chosen was a bit bumpy and too many mountains to climbed, I'll always thank our merciful God for giving me good health, patience, endurance and most of all love that is amazingly blooming inside my heart that prompted me to go on surviving.

Spring season makes the weekend longer and more eventful, but then it has more brighter hope when the sun shine down with a little bit of rain.
My life is happier now knowing that there is hope when you know the steadfast love of Lord almighty never seizes and His mercy never come to an end.
I will continue re-learning and looking forward at the road to life journey ahead, because I bet there is still a lot to be discovered! because as we reach the end of our loaned life and after crossing the bridge, there is a wonderful life after this life.

"BUT ALWAYS AGAIN FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT in this LIFE JOURNEY".

Without Rain: Life Is Not Easy

WITHOUT RAIN: LIFE IS NOT EASY

I prefer to rejoice on rainy days. There is little I love more than to watch everything washed clean, to hear the sound of falling rain, and to watch the natural world unfold as it has done for millions of years, long long time ago before we came along and started complaining about some clear, wet stuff falling from the sky.

Despite being in the same region for most of my childhood, I grew up with contrasts of weather. Where rain love to visit at any day.
Almost every seasons of life the river banks would burst and flow up through the paddocks of jokes and to the road of trials or pathways of ambitions and dreams and on to the houses of our invested courage of foundation.
If we were not fast enough with sandbags of courage to stop, the water would flow on inside, inside And inside our inner being and flood our egos with negatives and frustration to  giving up.
Thankfully there were usually warnings from farmers of recovery further upstream of those who overcome the flood trials and they just shake it off that water of negative things approaching in their life.

rain

I usually evacuated on this weather of test in my life until it subsided meaning I avoided it and even forget it. But then as sunny happy life continue, here it came again it will really flood me if I will continue to avoid it. Until It became common for my attitude to do the scapegoat idea from time to time again and side to side it will come and drown me if i can't make a stoper and fight for the flooding rain to come, Until you overcome that flood of frustration it will become a local talk of the negatives that they even publish it on newspaper about you being their fans, of your beautiful photos of stressful look, dark circled eyes, haggard look or messy hair even kinda smelly lazy life comes dragging you off that house of comfort and try to throw you away to the madness or craziness.
On a remoted village of life there is this tractor of simplicity and originality that even slow down you to move or remove you from this situations, and will take to the promising safety, And being taken out through the flood gates of frustrating water to safety, this will be a joy that you will cherish once in your life.
Our next stage of farm of life was struck by severe drought, lasting most of the decade. While school of friends headed off to the beach of success and happiness, my holidays were to spent sitting on the backs of horses trying to beat up the scorching summer heat of negativeness, minding the sheep of positive senses as they fed off the positive sides of the roads.
Don't let the dams of patience dried up and the well of success go so low to empty because of that the windmill of courage will no longer pumped water of the living promising happy successful life. Go dragged that bucket after bucket of courage to take up that water of achievements up on a rope of faith to fill the going empty trough of your soul. You could not do it fast enough but thinking of the race between the rabbit and that turtle, the really real lesson of the story of this this turtle courage to do it step by step is a huge help that will make a difference for you one day. You would be drain from time to time but try to drink of the life lesson from other who over come the drout and it will help you lower down fear, and before you will know it the lowering of bucket of courage had started to slow down and on the next bucket you will start to see the sun rays of achieving success shining through the surface of the well. It was a long process but soon it will be overflowing. Overflowing and you are now ready to share.
Remember, The more you seek the more you will find; don't give up as yet, the promising life God is in stored for you is yet to be revail. When trials strike thats where you will know who you are in part at the cross.
Eventually, Today to overcome the flood water of trials had to be purchased by the truckloads of professional, advisers, counselling, fengshui and so on and so fort.
Naturally, I would prefer being transported on a tractor through flood waters than being dragged off to the complicated realm of advices of those who didn't even experienced the case, We are all here on earth for a reason and it will depends on each to have to deal of that truckloads trials of life. The best professional advice is looking to that person who had overcome thesame trial as you are going through, Because once you were mislead, You will end up to that killing field of suicidal instinct.
Money can't buy anything, that's all i can say.
As a result, I have grown to absolutely adore the rain. Living in the tropics at one time was a dream come true, with heavy solid rain every day of my life. I never tired of it come to find a way not to carried of it to the sea of heartaches and hurts.
Looking out to the window now, I can see the creek is flowing well. The sound of rain on the tin roof is heaven and frogs are singing new songs.
I know all about floods and the damage they cause to those living in their path. I do not wish such misfortune on anyone. But it is going to rain anyway, so if you do not need to be considering the safety of your family, then why not just enjoy it?
We are blessed to have access to clean water. As challengers, we have it very easy. Look at our fellow humans and how difficult a simple thing like a drink of clean and healthy water of life is to obtain. People’s whole lives revolve around the basics of survival, getting enough food and water to get through each day.
The song of the rain on the roof is always one that nurtures me. Living under a tin roof again, rather than a tiled one, is splendour in the truest sense of the word. I am overwhelmed with gratitude on this gorgeous rainy afternoon.
So before you complain about the rain, or if you are looking to combat someone else’s complaining, here are some points that i gathered to consider.

Without rain: Life is not easy

Without rain; We would be thirsty. Nothing we drink would exist without water.
Without rain; We would be smelly. With no showers or water to swim in, we would get a tad rough on the nose before too long.
Without rain; We would be very sunburned. No rain means trees don’t grow. No trees mean no shelter. Even mud houses cannot be made without liquid.
Without rain; There would be no flowers. What would a world be like without such beauty? I shudder to think of life without such kisses of colour.
Without rain; We would all be rather quiet. With nothing to drink, our mouths would dry up and provide no saliva. Conversations would surely cease if no liquid substitute were possible.
Without rain; We would be hungry. No rain means no veggies or other delicious healthy food. Or for the carnivores, it means no crops to feed the animals and no water for them to survive anyway.
Without rain; We would have no excuse to stay at home unexpectedly. Many people cannot stay home unless they give themselves permission to. Rain tends to do that for some.
Without rain; We would be mighty unpleasant on the eye. As our bodies are mostly made up of water, if not replaced, we would shrivel up pretty fast….if we managed to live that long, which we wouldn’t. But if we did, we would resemble a prune. Not that there would be any prunes to compare ourselves to. No rain, no prunes.
Without rain; We would have no rainbows, one of the greatest losses of all. How can the sky show us its magical spectrum without water falling?
And Without rain ... We would be dead, as simple as that, and within a very short time.

So I prefer to rejoice on rainy days. There is little I love more than to watch everything washed clean, to hear the sound of the falling rain, and to watch the natural world unfold as it has done for millions of years, long long time ago before we came along and started complaining about some clear, wet stuff falling from the sky.
Let us give thanks for rainy days. The sun will shine again. But we need the rain too.
Let us focus on the blessings of rain, rather than the imagined inconvenience of it.
It is a life force we cannot survive without.
And what is so bad about walking in the rain anyway?
Perhaps you will even find yourself jumping in a puddle now and then.
But .... be careful….. it  just  might  be  fun. !  !  !

Don't Give Up

Most people don’t experience the life of their dreams simply because they quit way too easily.
Not giving up on your dreams also means to be smart however. You can try all you want but if you’re taking the wrong set of actions, you’re not going to get very far.

Setting a goal is like dreaming that easily. You see in your vision the path that is polish and paved smoothly but in reality that road to your goal of success isn't that easy. At times there are loads of bumps of ups and downs other times there's this hole with water on it, Sometimes that road is muddy and sticky preventing you to move out and stuck you unto it for a period of time but there are also times that it isn't muddy, but  rather surprisingly, though full of mud but this time it is mud but sandy allowing you to just pass through to it. That means you have overcome the most difficult road of life and now you are just shaking the next step of the muddy road of your way to that success of your sited goal.

Some writer says and I quoted to list and include here is this;

“Nothing could be worse than the fear that one had given up too soon, and left one unexpended effort that might have saved the world.” (Jane Addams).

In the Bible, Judas is one example of this. Because of the spark of that gold, He'd gone given up his faith, and have sold his master, because of gold(money). But it was so, because that is how the word is written. Peter is another one who had promise to not bow to his master no matter what happen, but in the end because of fear, 'the fear of the unknown', He disown his master.

We easily given up because of fear, of not making it to the end. We always have this "what if " attitude that is slowly sawing and grinding our hope to that beaming peace of success. But sometimes it is allowed in some circumstances because like a ball when it hit hard on the ground it will bounce back and reaching higher level of easy road.

I once had a journey trip with a group of seven in a van plus the driver. As we are traveling on that 8 hours drive to the mountain tops we enjoy the scenery view and the wind breeze; some maybe think they are on their crib asleep while they are enjoying the rocking and lullaby of the car engine. But despite our pleasure as a passenger one person is in vain, fighting for the safety of the car and its passenger. He tries to be sure his goal is to make it to that end of that destiny safe and sound, that is his goal.
But along the way something had happened the car needs water because it was heated up and the window was covered with dust and the car tires need checking and tightening. He stop the car on the spot where he sees there was water and it was accessible to collect and make it to the car. He makes sure there is safety also for he knows his passenger might enjoy a short break and try to explore the strange and country place. So before he let us out he makes us sure we understood the instructions he had delivered. Then we all went gee lay and  happy and enjoy they creek water. We had to go down to the river banks from the road stop. The driver was left behind doesn't know which way to do first.

Life is going to find way to test you. At times, you may feel that life is unfair. The urge to quit during these times are the highest but don’t give in. Whatever your dream is, if it’s important to you, then fight for it. Just remember that there is more than one way to achieve your dreams. If one way doesn’t work, just change your strategy. Never giving up doesn’t mean you keep doing the wrong things over and over, it means to be smart and figure out the correct actions to take and then taking them even with burdens until you achieve your dreams and goal.

Ralph Waldo Emerson once quoted;
“Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end, requires courage.”

So the van driver had figured out what to do first secure the car engine, check the tires, fill the water tank, while watching everyone, it is still his responsibility to see to it that the chickens (his passengers) will not go astray (*.*). And stretching his body and relax for a while there another 3 hours bumpy road to travel he thought. So after few more minutes gathered everyone and check them if they have perfect attendance before he start the engine and move on. He was delighted that everyone was refresh and relax and the car is conditioned. So the journey went on with prayers of safe journey as we go to our destiny.
Lastly, Don't give up on your life journey, figure out how to overcome obstacles and get rid of hindrances even if that means the world to you. You can't go on with loads of burdens. You will not going to make it to your goal.

Have a great day everyone!

The Journey Home

The Journey Home

We keep getting told that we need to find ourselves. What exactly does that mean? Are we all in some parallel universe searching ... are we 'lost in translation'? I don't know about you, but I never realized I was lost until books and speakers told me so. Whilst I realized it is a metaphor, the expression is so overused that I think it confuses rather than enlightens.

I choose to believe that we are not lost, but that sometimes we wander of our intended path and have to get back on track. It can be a short journey for some and can take a lifetime for others. There are some who may never find the way to their intended destination. But lost, no! Life is a journey of self discovery.

Each journey is different and is influenced by circumstance and experience. Geography and culture can change the way we view ourselves and life. All these things can dictate the sort of decisions we make, even when many of us are presented with similar situations. We are all different and react differently to what life throws at us.

Very few of us know what we want to be when we grow up. I don't know about you, but when I was a child it changed every week. One week I wanted to be a teacher, the next a psychologist and for a long time an actress, the list goes on. Even if we do have a plan, life may guides us elsewhere.

My life has changed directions many times, each time has been both frightening and exciting. The decisions I have made have often been difficult and required strength, that I did not realized I had. Once made, those decisions had to be followed through on. Although at times there have been and are still moments of self doubt, what I have learned along the way is that very rarely are we given the opportunity to go back. The only choice is to move forward and build on what we have learned.

Whether it be in life or love, be assured, we all make mistakes. I certainly have and though this may sound like a cliche, you do learn something from each of them. That's not to say that you may not repeat some of them, we are after all human. If we are often repeat offenders, there is no point beating ourselves up about it. At some point we come to understand and learn not to make the same mistakes. At least we hope so.

I believe that we all have a purpose in life. Even though we may think we know exactly where we are going and what we want the universe will drag us, sometimes kicking and screaming, to where we are meant to be. It is then up to us, whether we open our eyes and mind to what is before us and embrace what life is offering..

Life can be exhausting. Knowing what direction to take confusing and sometimes painful. We have to delve deep inside ourselves to find strength and meaning. There will be times where we may not like what we find, but it is within our power to change. If we take one step at a time and continue our individual journey, I believe that instinctively we will know when we have reached that place where we are at our happiest and most comfortable. A place that feels like home. Maybe that is what they mean by 'finding ourselves'.

Masterpiece of life.

Masterpiece of life is Challenge...

You can  take this challenge and mold it or break it or even abandon it. But you have to better make up you mind because time will never be the same again. What has been done was done. We grow old as the time tick and tack. So decision making is very important the moment the challenge lay in front of you.

When you see the challenge start calculating the goal or goals and set a time table along the way. Time frame and goal setting is very important to our lives, Why? because when the wind blows in an opposite all the way. The more the cramped life we'll be dealing with so to minimized too over crowded thinking. We need to face the challenge and set a goal.

Achieving goals isn’t just about getting what you’re going after. It’s also about forcing yourself to become better, wiser, and stronger so that you can take on even bigger goals.
Most people don’t experience the life of their dreams simply because they quit way too easily. Not giving up on your dreams also means to be smart however. You can try all you want but if you’re taking the wrong set of actions, you’re not going to get very far.

Einstein quoted :
“Anyone who has never made a mistake, has never tried anything new.”

Never giving up doesn’t mean you keep doing the wrong things over and over, it means to be smart and figure out the correct actions to take and then taking them until you achieve your dreams.

“The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life.

 Robert Tew quoted:
“The struggle you’re in today is developing the strength you need for tomorrow. Don’t give up.”
Each mistake teaches you something new about yourself. There is no failure, remember, except in no longer trying. It is the courage to continue that counts.

Have hope and vision in order to take the life challenge a stepping stone in moving on to the horizon of your success.

Best of luck.! 'til next time again.
